Is there a passenger limit on your car?

My car is a 5 seater, If i happen to fit 4 more people in the back and 2 up front including the driver which make 6. Would it be legal ? or would the cop pull me over? I live in Vancouver BC Canada

You can have as many people in the car, as you do seatbelts.

it is not legal because you can only have as many people as you have seat belts

If BC has a seat belt law, then it's only legal to have as many passengers as you do seat belts. That's the way it is in the U.S.
