  1. No there is not as that train would have to pass through the Yukon territory,Canada.

I live in the Yukon and there is only 1 train running from Skagway, Alaska to Carcross,Yukon.

  2. A physical impossibility since Alaska (with the exception of its' many islands) is within the confines of the North American continent along with the 'lower 48' States.

  3. No, there is no track between those places.  Where the track might go is extremely mountainous, and it snows a lot.  The passenger and freight business wouldn't cover the cost of it.

It would also have to operate a long distance in Canada, and cross the Canadian border twice.  Since 9/11, TSA had made border crossings into Canada extremely difficult for Amtrak trains and they've cut back some international runs.

Right now, rail and automobile traffic between Seattle and Alaska use car-ferries.  The automobile ferry is here

  4. No, sad to say there isnt anythign that would be even close. An alternate way would be the Alaska marine highway, travel on State operated ferrys from Seattle to Alaska, much cheaper than a cruise ship and cooler people too.

  5. No.  The Alaska Railroad only operates in Alaska and runs from Seward in the south to Fairbanks further north with many stops and depots inbetween.  The ways to get to Alaska are by plane, driving the ALCAN or taking the Marine Highway ferry system.

  6. The man in seat 61 will be able to tell you and suggest routes so take a look at the link below.

For that journey you will probably have to go through Canada.
