he's asking me for a payment (260pds)before the issuance of my affidavit of claim. i'm asking these questions because i don't have a personal knowledge of him nor the set-up of british government in its processing of claims. i am a filipino.

  1. Many solicitors are Commissioners of Oaths.  I've carried out a websearch of the name you have given with no result. I would expect a firm of solicitors to have some presence on the web so I would suggest you treat their request for money with caution.

    There is a fee for handling oaths but it's usually small - although it probably depends on circumstances.

    I would suggest you contact the Law Society in London and ask them to recommend someone.
