  1. anti anxiety meds...

  2. Ativan.  Try relaxation techniques first though before resorting to a potentially addictive medication.  Some things pass with time.

  3. Yes, lots of them. Just type 'anti anxiety drugs' into your favorite internet search site.

    Alchohol works too.

  4. Herbalife makes a tablet called relax now, I am a distributor for this great company, so send me an email mikenassans@yahoo.com.

  5. There's a pill for everything, the important thing is understanding that is not how to take care of your problems.

Finding out why you are anxious is the important thing, there is a reason.

Contacting a counselor and discussing this would help. Also, being conscious of your thoughts; are they rational or not? If not, then you need to concentrate on rational thoughts.

  6. There is a totally natural one that works great!

  7. Yes...Klonopin...it's an anxiety pill

  8. Yes there are many out there that a doctor could prescribe.

There are a few things that are over the counter that could help if it isn't too bad. B vitamins, Omega-3 and Kava Kava all help anxiety.

  9. Yes there are several different kinds of pills for this stuff. You should go to see your doctor though and he will be able to help you find the right kind that will help you the most.

  10. Yes. They come in all strengths. Some just remove tension and others will put you in bed.  A doctor proscribes what you need for your condition. I was suffering "red outs" and headaches. I take the mildest dosage and it stops them.

  11. Try Kalms or Quietlife

  12. Yes there are pills that can reduce your anxiety, but they just fix the symptoms, not the cause.  If you really want to overcome your anxiety you need to go deeper than popping a pill.

My suggestion is to learn self-hypnotic techniques for calming, self control and overcoming phobias.

  13. there is but the ones that i know of are highly addictive, the best thing you can do is work out what ur triggers are and work on trying to turn them from a negative into a positive.

  14. If you are diagnosed with an anxiety disorder or problem there are plenty of meds to try and find which one works for you - but this should only be done in conjunction with a doctor.

I suppose the purpose of this question is to find out some that exist.

I had a mild anxiety problem while at univeristy and my doctor gave me a small precription of 'lorazapam' (sp?) which I took only when I felt I needed it.

That being said, if your anxiety can be controlled through relaxation techniques I would highly recccomend that.  I have tried both and for my particular problem my relaxation experience did not work.

If you can't see a doctor perhaps talk to a counsellor, if you are in school the are free.

  15. Yes a strong form is Xanax and a less addictive form is Buspirone, both require a prescription.

  16. Valium

  18. Yes, but you'd have to talk to a doctor first before getting a prescription.  Anxiety is a terrible thing to have and if you have anxiety attacks, I'd definitely see a doctor.  There are different medicines for anxiety and depression so you may have to try a few different kinds before you find the one that works for you.  Don't take someone else's medication.  They take a few days to take effect so don't give up.  I hope you see a doctor.  Don't be embarrassed about it.  Many people suffer from anxiety, especially these days.

  19. oh definitely!!!

& totally just disregard the first answer because obviously katie isnt aware of the outrageous amount of people stricken with panic disorder who cant control their anxiety....

    but anyway,

prozac ( an antidepressant often used for anxiety issues) definitely makes you less anxious :) it does have some unpleasant side-effects though, but really what drug doesnt. many parties that have taken prozac have recorded bizarre dreams as a major side effect.

another one used is Klonopin (clonozaplean...or something like that)

it can work, but for many it totally doesnt. in fact, it could take the opposite effect, and make you more anxious! you certainly do not want that! a major side effect is dizziness and lack of coordination..which doesnt aide in the fight against anxiety! lol ;)

Xanax i think is also a drug used to treat anxiety..not sure.

ik that there are many many more, so ask your doctor!

& never ever be ashamed of helping yourself.

    best of luck
