  1. The anti-biotic Tetracycline is amazing for clearing up acne.

  2. Sometimes it is better to just find methods to clear up your skin that don't use pills- even non-birth control pills can give you bad side effects.  I was on a pill for acne that made me miserable (I forget what it was).  It made my periods worse, gave me terrible stomach aches. That may not necessarily happen to you, so if you really want medication to make your skin clear, don't be discouraged, then go for it.

You can do other things to help keep acne away.  Keep your skin clean, remember to remove your make-up every day (or try to use minimal make-up, and make sure your make-up doesn't irritate your skin), use a gentle facial cleanser, use rice paper blotting sheets to pick up excess oil on your face during the day.  If you have bangs, that also contributes to oil and dirt on your face.

  3. If your acne is that bad you should seek out a dermatologist.  The pills you are talking about help with acne but don't get rid of it.  If you are sexually active, it's best to take birth control.  The side effects aren't that bad and when you think about all that can happen with a baby, it's the lesser of two evils.  If you are completely against birth control and aren't having s*x, just pony up the money for skin care products.

  4. My girlfriend drinks aloe vera in the morning and before she goes to bed at night. Drinking lots of waters is also very good. Some acne medicines can you leave you scared. As will picking at pimples.

  5. i took acutane!

    it works super good.

and theres also another one called Minocycline.

but you'll have to get it from your doctor
