Is there a place in NYC or upstate NY where I can get cash for recycling newspapers, or anything else?

In Ny you can recycle aluminum cans for cash 5cents for soda/beer cans ect.  As for newspaper plastic ect no they dont pay for them

recycling is great! why would any one want to get paid for it

i do not live in new york .I thing it should be law nation wide.

Actually at some grocery stores they're collecting grocery bags and recycleing them without pollution just go up to services and give them to the person. Also some places you can give them your bottles and get five cents for each.
