I’m taking someone on a date and I want to impress her. Is there an oyster bar in the Pasig area?

  1. VIA MARE.

  2. The only one I know off is VIA MARE. There's a branch in the Edsa Shangrila mall (near the entrance) and another in the Philippine Stock Exchange complex's East Tower.  They offer fresh, baked oysters seasoned in myriad ways (Rockefeller being my personal favourite). Aside from oysters, they serve popular Filipino dishes and a number of fresh seafood in inspired guises—blue marlin, trout, cod, grouper (lapu-lapu), red snapper (maya-maya), milkfish etc. which are made into such dishes as saffron seafood bisque enfolded in a puff pastry, Thai chili crab and bacalao a la Vizcaina. If you’re not into seafood, they also serve steaks, chops and ribs. What’s great about this restaurant is that it serves great dishes in a relatively low price…
