Is there a place in Point Loma or San Diego where I can play tennis for free?

Man I'm so dissapointed to see that everywhere I see a tennis court here in Point Loma there is a fee to play. I'm used to seeing free empty courts like my old neigborhood in Bell Gardens.

  1. Use the Find a Court link on the USTA site as a starting point.  For your area, go to:  http://www.ustasearch.com/?zip=92106.

Also, check the local high schools, colleges (including junior colleges or community colleges), and parks.  Often times they have public courts that you can try to jump on, though they are usually first-come-first-serve and if you're at a school, their tennis teams get priority.

    Good luck and happy hitting!

  2. One place you could check to find out about where to play tennis for free is thru the city dept of Parks and Recreation to see if they have such facilities available.
