Photography is a hobby of mine. Sadly I am the only person I know interested in photography and cameras. I am about to buy a new camera but I would like some feedback on my final two possibilities. I would like to know what people think about each camera. So I was wondering if there is a place online to discuss cameras with other people. Anyone know of a site like that???

  1. do a google or yahoo search for photo forums, and you will no doubt find lots of places that you can discuss cameras at length with lots of people and probably learn something in the process...

  2. HI Chuckles,  :)...  I think you can do that right here, actually.  You can ask two questions. Ask what people think of your choice #1 and then ask what they think of your choice #2.  I find it better not to ask "What do you think of sony and canon?"  As most people don't have both of the cameras...  usually they only have one... so you don't get answers that are useful to you.   Ask,  Does anyone have a ______?  How long have you had it and what do you think of it?  Then, only people having that camera will answer.  Also,  if you really want to know what REAL photo people think of your choices,

go to the link I recommend below.  There you will find reviews by professional photographers who field test all of the new cameras and make honest reports on what they find out.  What is good and not so good.   Just to help you make an intelligent decision and not waste your money.  Hope I was able to give you some good information.  Hope you get a great camera for a good price!!!

  3. I belong to Nikonians.com, a great group of Nikon users who are knowledgable and friendly.  I'm certain there are similar groups for other brands.

What are your two final possibilities?
