  1. If they grow in your field they are poisonous, if they grow in a cave or in the dark they are OK, that is if someone has put them in the cave!

  2. Here is a real good site for looking at mushrooms.  This is one of the right places to post this question.  Botany would also be a good place.  Good luck.

  3. That would be an entertaining pastime. However if you are really going to eat the ones you find you need to be 100% sure ("you bet your life they are non-toxic") before you bite one. There is no room for slack in your judgement and I don't think a web site will stand behind their identifications at a coroner's inquest of you.

  4. I mey help to you.. In Italy (from where I am anwering) We have many web-sito..<www.agraria.org/funghi.htm>>I have seen ..500 variety of mushrooms...

    Italian vocabolary..

    pericoloso,mortale, tossico==Toxic.dangerous

    buono, edule, mangereccio = Good ! delicius !

    sospetto................................. (mey be toxic)

    funghi=mushrooms..

    Pay attention ! In Australia thy mey have differet colors !!

    In Italy 100 persons a year they give up in hospital for mushrooms !!

  5. Mushrooms are hard to distinguish from each other.  So checking to see if they are poisonous is not a good idea, especially if you plan on eating them.  You should take it to an expert on fungi if you really want to know.

  6. You can start from this one.
