  1. No such luck...the Humane Society where you adopted your pet should of gave you a brief history but nothing detailed most of the time pets from a shelter are strays and they have no info on them. I worked as a volunteer at my local Humane Society for three years and I have four dogs of my own and it more important to make sure the have a good life now and in the future and don't worry about their past. Best of luck with your new family member

  2. depends on where you got him here....our shelters dont really make a point to know the history of dogs here.

  3. http://archaeology.about.com/od/domestic...

  4. Chances are, you can call them and ask them what they knew about the dog before you adopted it, but there isn't anything like that on the web. They probably won't know too much because most dogs are found off the streets as strays or were abandoned. If you're having difficulties with the dog, then you should call an obedience trainer. I believe that all dogs are trainable if given time, the proper consequences and rewards, and with consistency.

  5. you can go to the nearest library and look it up, or look it up on the web.

  6. Call the humane society and ask them.  If the adoption was recent they may still be able to look up what info they know on the dog.  Most dogs in shelters tho are picked up or dropped off and not much is known about them.
