Is there a place to watch people surf mavericks?

Is there a beach or point where you can go and watch people surf mavericks? if so tell where and when the best time to go is! I think that would be insanley cool to watch them.

Surf competition is on for this weekend Jan 12 &13

There is going to be parking at Half Moon Bay Airport with a shuttle to the site.

Thousands may show up to watch so come early to stake your spot.

I think you can watch from the cliff there.  Check www.mavsurfer.com to see if it's breaking or not.
