Is there a place where I can get free and ACCURATE info on my thoroughbred from his tattoo?

can i type in my thoroughbred's tattoo and find his race records anywhere for free? I dont want to spend a bunch of money on sites like Jockey Club.

I'm pretty sure the only place that would have that information is the Jockey Club, considering they're the registering association for Thoroughbreds.

Try www.thoroughbredtimes.com. They have helped me a lot when I am trying to find out info on a horse.

my advice would be to ring the jockey club and ask them.they will help all they can and it wont cost a penny.i have only seen tattoo's on horses from N.Z and Russia,so i am not very experienced at this aspect.Start by talking nicely to the j.c and i am sure you will get your info.

I think you are going to have to pay if you want to get the correct information.

I presume you know his sire and dam and perhaps his racing name - that may help you find somemore information without calling the Jockey Club.  If you don't know his racing name, one way of trying to find out what it is is to go to www.pedigreequery.com and type in his dam's full name.  When her pedigree appears, click on the Toolbar where it says "Reports" and a drop down menu will appear.  Select "Progeny" and all the mares lsited foals will appear, your horse may be among them.

Other than that, I don't know what to suggest.
