Is there a plant called a Rosea Edenbaum?

I was at a nursery out of town and saw a bush that I thought was called a Rosea Edenbaum. Well I've been looking and no one around here knows of anything like that. I saw the plant near Toledo, OH. It was about 6ft tall and had small pointed leaves. The tops had clusters of blooms that were pink and the flowers were also kind of pointed. Like I said the blooms were clumped (like 5 - 8 flowers) per bloom. I didn't have a camera so I couldn't take a picture and I'm not finding anything close doing an image search. Just wondering if someone would have any clue as to what it was that I saw.

  1. I've looked on my favorite sites and in my garden book and there is no genus "Rosea." I then searched for "Edenbaum" and came up blank.

I'm guessing the rosea is the species and Edenbaum is the cultivar or variety but that the genus is missing. For example, it could be something like Syringa rosea 'Edenbaum' or Spiraea rosea 'Edenbaum'.

Is there a way you can call the nursery and have them check the botanical name for you? I'm sure they will know what plant you are referring to. This is the best thing to do if you don't have a picture since "Edenbaum" isn't giving me any hits.

    Good luck! :)
