Is there a point to me paying my hospital bills?

I dont own a home and will probably never own a home, I dont own anything of real value, i pretty much live paycheck to paycheck and I am still in debt, is there a point to me paying these bills?

  2. Do you expect us to pay them?If you don't we will get charged more in taxes or services. I worked all my life and never got squat from anyone. You should be responsible for your own messes.

  3. Call the hospital and talk to someone in the collections department, they will likely "write off" the debt, if they believe you cannot pay the bill, which would be much better than just being a deadbeat.

    Hospitals write off bills for many many patients, and if they do that you won't be contacted by collection agencies.

  4. If you call the financial department, they may agree to a payment arrangement that is extremely low, $10 a month, that sort of thing.  It would keep them off of your credit report.  Medical bills are excessive.
