I am now 4 days late on my pregnancy and have taken 3 tests in which all have come out negative ( UGGGHHHH ) but am wondering is it possible that I am doing something that is preventing my horomone levels from increasing to where they should be to get a positive on the test..

  1. NO there is nothing that stops the HCG rising i would ask for a blood test .

It could be you ovulated later in your cycle.

I was due my period the 22nd of july and it took 7 days to get a positive but a blood test confirmed and early pregnancy with a level of 21 at the time of my missed period

  2. This could go EITHER way right now.  I thought I "knew" my body because I was always on time with my periods.  Just recently did it start acting weird and my period was a week late.  I finally had blood test and it was still negative then I got my period 2 days later.

On the other hand my girlfriend missed her period for 2 months.  She took home pregnancy tests and they all said "negative".  She then had a blood test and her Dr told her she's 12 weeks pregnant.  Her levels were just too low to show on the home tests.

I haven't heard of anything one can do to raise your hormone levels. Sorry but I hope you are pregnant!
