  1. yes it was announced on the new this morning

  2. If you heard it on the news it must be true. Why would you prefer to believe strangers on a web page rather than your local radio station?

  3. Yeah when I came in all the gates were closed and people were travelling for free.  I buy a weekly zone 1 & 2 so it didn't make much difference to me, but whoever stuffed this up has cost TFL at least a couple of million pounds in revenue this morning!!

  4. The problem this morning is with pay-as-you-go Oystercards at tube stations  -- there's been a glitch in the computer system and they weren't being recognised.

There's no problem for users though: all the barriers have been opened at tube stations, so you just walk through without "touching in".

Do take your Oystercard with you if you're travelling, though: once they fix the glitch, it'll be back to normal.

Off out to work soon (rather hoping they take their time over fixing the problem.) ;D Probably too late, though: see the latest TFL news here: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/ne...
