Is there a product I can clear coat carbon fiber with that will adhere to it well and be scratch resistant?

These are carbon fiber ipod cases. I am using a Sherwin Williams automotive clear but it can be scratched/peeled off fairly easily considering. What are my alternatives?

In the model airplane hobby, we use epoxy resin or fiberglas resin. Ask in a hobby shop.

your on the right track but it's all in the prep as in completely sanded, 800 grit works well but not down to the fiber, then cleaned in a water based solvent, and an adhesion promoter is advised but not necessary and that's as good as it gets
