ATTENTION ALL CHEFS!

When I was working in a Mexican Restaurant they used to use this like soy based powdered mix that would stretch taco meat and increase the volume. I need to find this, in quantity enough to support my 50 cent taco night at my restaurant. Ground beef is too expensive to continue the special... this soy taco stretch is what i need. Where do I get it? What is it called? Where can i find it?

Thanks!

  1. beans

  2. The name of what you describe escapes me but yes it is dehydrated soy but the other method is to purchase soy crumbles or chunks and run it with your ground beef through your grinder, single pass, you'll have to do a taste test to see how much more "spicing" (bullion paste) you need depending on your volume.
