  1. vinegar works to 'set' a color in the wash not sure about transfers

  2. vinegar and salt. soak the shirt in vinegar and salt. the shirt transfer should be fine.

  3. We use these a lot, and the only way I have found to keep the ink from bleeding onto the shirt is to use a background color when you print the transfer. We wanted red flames on a white shirt, but the red kept bleeding onto the shirt! Like if you are using a pink shirt, print a pink background on your transfer. We ended up using a light grey shirt and printing a matching grey background behind the flames and  PERFECTO! NO BLEEDING!!! It can be tricky to match the shirt color exactly, so you may want to do a test sheet and iron tiny patches of your test colors on the inside hem of the shirt first to see if the color matches. Good luck and have fun!!!
