  1. yes there is the olympic team and avp (beach volleyball)

  2. If you mean volleyball clubs, it guess there are some. But it is just not that popular compare to indoor vb clubs in Europe. I don't know if you heard that some top level American player playing in Italian or dutch clubs. But we do have team USA indoor vb teams for tournament and Olympics.

Beach VB is more marketable here as you can see them every weekend in Fox sports. They are professionals too.

  3. Yes, there is a professional Beach volleyball league called the AVP.

Many moons ago, before the first Bush was president, there was an indoor professional league, but it folded.

The best professional leagues (indoors) are in Europe (Italy and France), and Japan.

  4. The Olympic players do get paid, so they are professional.  The AVP is the beach game and they are professional.  About 5-8 years ago there was a professional league for beach volleyball that was 4 v 4 women and 4 v 4 men.  They were actually on TV some.  I would say Gabrielle Reece was the best known player in that league.  Then about 3-4 years ago they started an indoor professional league in the Midwest.  It lasted two years.  The first year there was 4 teams and they expanded to 6 or 8 the second year.  They did not have any sponsorship money coming in, so they are currently defunct.  I have not heard any rumors about them trying to start that up again.

Like others have said the best pro leagues are in Europe (especially Italy).  I also know that Brazil has a good indoor league.

  5. yes - the olympics teams! but other than that, i don't really know
