  1. Contact your school Special Ed teacher or your local DCFS office.  I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.


  2. I know Gainsville has C.A.R.D. ?Center for Autistic something I can't remember. But they can lead you to, The University of Florida for Resp-it Care, That is where they watch your Child up to 3 to 4 times a week for 3 to 4 hrs. each time. That is a life saver, Social Service thru the school can lead you to different programs also.

    It is a full time job for us parents who have Autistic children. Just let someone walk in our shoes for a day and see how easy their life is. Good luck, If Gainsville can't help you, I am sure they can give you some directions.

  3. The Univesity of Central Florida has a partnership with CARD, the Center fo rAutism and Relaed Disorders, and they often work with the schools.  The web site is
