I haven't seen my husband since Feburary and I miss him so much. He can visit for 3 days Fourth of July but ticket prices are too much. I've tried all the discount ticket places but they are still expensive. He might not be able to come down anyway and I dont want to pay 500.00 for a ticket i'll never use. I just want to see him again, my kids and I miss him so much.

  1. Discount sites make a lot of promises...and some, like Priceline, have nonrefundable fares.  You can try calling the airlines that serve your area individually, or contacting your local SATO office to see if they have any discounts.

It might be easier, as another poster suggested, to look at flight alternatives.  They take longer, but are more affordable, and maybe you and the kids could all travel by bus for less than he could travel by air.

Separation is difficult for all military families so remember you're not alone.  Check out this website for ways to help keep your kids connected to their dad:  http://www.operationmilitarykids.org/pub...

Good luck, and thank you, your husband and your kids for your sacrifice.

  2. Why don't you check into taking a train or a bus, these are both usually much cheaper.  Tell your husband thanks!!!

  3. i imagine so u get benefits in everything else.  its so aweseome
