at my house there is one computer using a wireless network, the other computer uses a actual connection, and the other internet use is the xbox on xbox live. Is there any way I can disconnect those connections through my laptop without actually disconnecting the internet from those other connections, essentially redirecting all the internet connection to my computer? Is there a program or a way of doing this? thanks everybody

  1. Only if you are networked to the other computers, and the Network Connections in Control panel is "shared".

Then you could go into that folder on each computer over the network

and remotely disable their internet connection.

To do this they would have to have their Firewall exceptions to allow you full access as Administrator.

Normally, over a home network, only specific files are "shared".

So you'd need the permission of the other computer users to get the remote access Administrator priviledges.

  2. Yes, disable your security on your computer under your wireless router website?  But by doing this you give yourself access to do anything you want but then all your neighbors can get free internet service, but only if you let people know, and it does not affect your security or privacy of anything you type, just the internet service.
