Is there a program to learn how to write programs(code)?

Question

Like rosetta stone teaches how to speak other languages, is there a program, that is like that for programming? Price is no object.

If you're willing to spend money I'd rather get books related to whatever language you want to learn. Most of the tutorials that are spread out throughout the internet usually are not as good as you would want them to be.

There are thousands of free tutorials littered around the internet if you search for them.  There are also just as many, if not more, books on every popular programming language available.  http://java.sun.com also has several paid tutorials in several aspects of the java language, including the java certification.

That being said, the best method to learn how to code is to start coding.  Practice makes perfect, as they say.  You'll learn far more from your mistakes then you will ever learn from reading a book.

Also, don't downplay the role that an education in computer science or software can play.  Earning my degree didn't make me a good coder overnight, but it helped me to identify tools along the way that made me a stronger coder.
