Is there a public record for who lives in an apt. complex?

I am thinking of moving, and I am already living in a building where, lets just say that crime is not a stranger around here, so like i said i want to move and i want to know how i can find out information on the residents already living in the complex i want to move onto. If anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Honestly call or visit your local Police Station for such information on which buildings have the lowest complaints. That's the best public record information you're going to find.

You can find out if any of them are registered s*x offenders by checking your state's s*x Offender Registry.

Other than that, no, there's no way you can know who lives at any particular address or apartment. Such a list would be a gross violation of privacy and would be extremely unconstitutional.

Your best solution is to go to the police department and find out if it is a source of frequent calls. You can also go by and hang out at different times of the day or evening. Engage other tenants in conversations and they will fill your ear if things are not well or they will really recommend the area if it is good.

Unfortunately you can't get a print out of the people who live there.

You can go to the closest police station take the address of the place you are interested in renting and get a crime report of the last 30-90 days. Normally this is free. You'll get a very good idea of the crimes REPORTED.

If you are ever in the community or in the office and you see other residents ask them what they think. Do not ask the person who just came in swearing about their toilet, they're biased...lol.

nah. if it's section 8, there is crime. those people don't care about anything.
