This is some 450 kms (279 miles).  Your best way to do this journey is Alicante to Malaga on Alsa (Spanish version of National Express).  If you were to catch the 1136hrs in Alicante, you will arrive at Malaga Bus Station at 1945hrs.  The cost is around 36 euros (£29.00).   There would then be a bus from Malaga to Nerja, which leaves from stop 38 in the bus station, at 2015hrs.   This journey takes around 1hr 30 mins.
