  1. Possible.

How you load an amp determines the amount of power out.

There is a trade off though, the lower the impedance (ohms) the more power is pushed as well as higher distortion and more heat is generated. The excessive heat will shorten the life of the amp.

For best overall performance, it's far better to get a higher powered amp and load it with 4 ohms than a lower powered amp and force it to push more power with a lower impedance (2 or less ohms) load.

  2. Generally your 2 ohm speakers will hit harder then your 4 ohm speakers.... Depending on what you are looking for... I believe myself that if you bridge your speakers to a 2 ohm load it sounds good but u must have a 2 ohm stable amp

  3. To answer your question, no, there is no quality difference from different impedance drivers.  It's also good to note that just because a speaker is rated at 2 or 4 ohms, doesn't mean that it will show a constant 2 or 4 ohm impedance to the amplifier.  Impedance is dynamic.  It goes up and down based on the frequency being played.  A 4 ohm driver my only show in the vicinity of 4 ohms for just a few frequencies.   Check out the impedance curve on this driver ... http://www.partsexpress.com/pdf/297-608.... ... Look at the graph at the bottom of this link.  The blue line represents the impedance curve.  You'll notice it only nears 4 ohms from about 100 hz to maybe 150 hz.  Most people cross their subs over at about 80 hz or lower.  So, if you know you're crossing this sub over at maybe 60 hz with a steep slope, your amp will never see more then about 6 ohms if you're using one driver.  Does that make sense?  As for sounding better or worse, you'll want to compare driver construction, magnet design, materials used, etc.  The only way to really know if a driver is going to sound good to you is to listen to it.  What sounds good to one person may not sound good to another.  It's very subjective.

  4. there is no quality difference in the same subwoofers that are setup at different ohms loads. all ohms are is value of resistance. 2 ohms will allow the amplifier to push more power through the subwoofers because 2 ohms is less resistance than 4 ohms is. that's the reason people think 2 ohm subs pound harder. in my setups i prefer to use 2- 4 ohm subs wired together in parallel, connected to a mono amp. that is making the most use of a 2 ohm stable, single channel amp. if it were a 2 channel amp i'd use 2- 2 ohm subwoofers, or one 4 ohm subwoofer and bridge the amp. those are just examples though.
