I would like to see him with Minnesota or Chicago. Maybe The Jets could trade him there.

  1. Why would the Jets trade someone they've had for less than one day?

If they weren't going to use him they wouldn't have gotten him in the first place.

  2. See the below link. Farve can essentially pick what team he is traded to, even though it isn't a traditional no-trade clause. He can veto a trade by simply not reporting because the Packers would then have to take on his salary.

But like the others said - there's a poison pill in the agreed trade between the Packers and Jets. If the Jets trade Favre to the Vikes, the Jets have to send three 1st round picks to the Packers.

Also, Adam Schefter reported that Farve will not be renegotiating his contract.

  3. why would they trade brett instantly after getting him because they would be a chance for the Jets the be better than the giants and lead New York

  4. Not sure about Chicago, but if the Jets were to trade him to Minnesota they would lose 3 (yes three) #1 picks. I would imagine that it is similar for any team within the division with the Packers.

  5. If they trade him to minnesota or chicago then they have to give the packers their first round draft pick for the next 3 years.  The packers put in this clause just to prevent brett from being traded to their division.  Now that the Jets have Favre they are going to release or trade Chad Pennington, and I think he might end up in Minnesota or Chicago.

  6. There's not a NTC since it's the same contract the Packers had him under.  However, as part of the NYJ-GB deal, NY would have to give 3 1st round picks to GB if they trade Favre to the Vikings.  Besides which, I can't see NY trading Favre now that they have released Pennington.

  7. They put in what they called a "poison pill" so that the Jets couldn't turn around and trade him to the Vikes.  If they did it would give The Pack 3 first round picks
