  1. There are billions of web pages out there.  A list like the one you're suggesting would be so long you wouldn't have enough time during the rest of your life to read them all.  They'd also keep changing.

Did you ever hear of the "Chinese Paradox?"  It's not really a paradox; it just seems like one.

An evil tyrant orders every single Chinese person to line up four-abreast and march toward a cliff.  The Chinese do so, falling off the cliff four at a time every second.

The apparent paradox is this:  The genocidal tyrant never succeeds in killing off all the Chinese!  This is the power of very large numbers--Chinese or Internet pages.

  2. The closest thing is a web directory. It's a different web surfing method than search engines. In my opinion, search engines are better. But if you want to try a web directory, Yahoo has one of the better ones:

    http://dir.yahoo.com/

In my opinion, its one of the few things they do better than Google. [Answers is another one ;-)]

You can also try the website for practically and library. They often have real time chats with librarians who can help you look up information from reliable sources on any issue imaginable. A friend of mine works on of those chats at a university library in Boston and few people take advantage. She usually just sits there board most of the time.

Or, there's always Yahoo Answers. Not always successful, not always reliable, but sometimes you find someone who knows exactly what you're looking for and has references to back it up.

  3. That'd be one heck of a long list...  what are you trying to find out about?...
