Is there a reason Ancestry.com is so slow?

Has it always been this slow? I have a trial membership, does anyone with a full membership experience slowness?

  1. I have a membership and I find it works better with Firefox then Safari.  I use a Mac.  Try a different browser.  They do slow down sometimes when they are updating info.

    I have world deluxe membership and I haven't experienced anything like that, I have always found it works a treat for me.

  3. Updating and heavy traffic always make it slow. When things are running smoothly it just zips right along and is a wonderful site. I've had a few problems with it this week, but they have been making some changes and I'm sure that's most of the reason for the problems. It's also plenty hot in my neck of the woods, so that keeps me indoors and using ancestry.com, as I'm sure it does a lot of other folks.
