Is there a reason i keep getting duplicate text messages??

a friend sent me a message like at 1pm yesterday which i dindnt respond, but it kept on sending me a duplicate like every 5 min, then after a while it started to send them again every few hours, i got like 5 of them thru the night! why????? and how do i stop this!!!!!!!

it may be your friend sending or an error in the phone, this is quiet common just call your provider tell them whats happening and they will be able to help. but your friend will get charged per txt
