that Muay Thai and Brazilian Jujitsu go together very well or do they just happen to be partnered up a lot?

  4. In what context are you referring to that they are partnered up a lot? In UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), I would presume that they would be partnered up a lot because both of them are like a half of a pie. Both are needed to become a well-rounded fighter.

    Muay Thai is Thai Boxing, which concentrates heavily on fighting using 8 points of contact to attack an opponent.

    Brazilian Jujitsu is a combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting.

    Yet, UFC involves both: combat standing up (Muay Thai), and also ground fighting (Brazilian Jujitsu), grappling techniques and stuff to get the person to submit.

    Both are needed to be an effective UFC fighter.
