Hi. I want to make a cake or brownies and I want to make a frosting using cream cheese. What are some good tastey recipes I can do?

  1. 1- 8 oz pkg cream cheese (room temp)

    1 stick butter or margarine (room temp)

    1 lb confectioners sugar

    2-4 Tbsp milk

    1 tps vanilla

    pinch salt

    beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, add confectioner's sugar 1 cup (or so) at a time, add van ilia and salt, add milk until it's the consistency you like.

    1 8 oz pkg cream cheese

    1 stick butter

    1/3 c. nuts of your choice (i use walnuts)

    1 box of powdered sugar (4 cups)

    1 tsp vanilla flavoring

    nuts to me are optional

  4. CARAMEL BROWNIES WITH CREAM CHEESE

    FROSTING

    1 lb. brown sugar

    4 eggs

    2 c. flour

    1 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. cinnamon

    Mix above ingredients together in mixer and pour into jelly roll pan, sprayed with Pam (cookie sheet with sides). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

    CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

    1/2 c. butter

    1 small package cream cheese

    1 tsp. vanilla

    1 lb. confectioners sugar

    Combine butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

    Gradually add the sugar, while beating well.

    If mixture is too thick to spread, thin to a spreadable consistency by adding a small amount of milk.

    MINT CHOCOLATE FROSTED BROWNIES

    BROWNIE:

    5 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate

    3/4 c. butter

    1 tbsp. vanilla

    2 1/4 c. sugar

    4 eggs

    1 1/3 c. flour

    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

    Melt butter and chocolate together. Beat eggs until fluffy. Add sugar gradually beating well. Stir in chocolate, then vanilla. Beat thoroughly. Stir in flour, then nuts. Bake in greased jelly roll pan (15x10 inch) at 375 for 25-35 minutes. Cool completely before adding other layers.

    MINT LAYER:

    4 c. powdered sugar

    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

    1/4 c. butter, softened

    3 tbsp. milk

    1 tsp. vanilla

    1/4 tsp. peppermint extract

    4 drops green food coloring

    Combine all ingredients and spread over cooled brownies in pan.

    FROSTING:

    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels

    3 tbsp. butter

    Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread over mint layer. Refrigerate.

    Use fudge brownie mix and add the mint and frosting layers.

  5. This is the recipe I use on my carrot cake.  It is wonderful.  You may want to half it though.

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    3 - (8 ounce) packages cream cheese

    1 stick butter (not margarine)

    1 - (2 pound) bag of powder sugar

    Cream butter and cream cheese together and slowley add powder sugar until all is blended well.

  6. Super Easy Cream Cheese Frosting:

    Beat 8 oz. cold cream cheese (not rock solid, but it means you can use it straight out of the refrigerator) with 5 Tbsp. softened butter and 2 tsp. vanilla until combined. Gradually add 2 c. powdered sugar that has been sifted after measuring. Continue to add more sifted powdered sugar until you reach a consistency and sweetness that fits your taste.

    Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

    Ing:

        * 1/4 cup butter, softened

        * 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

        * 3 ounces (3 squares) unsweetened chocolate, melted

        * dash of salt

        * 3 cups confectioners' sugar

        * 1/3 cup half-and-half

        * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Dir:

    Cream together the butter and cream cheese. Add melted chocolate, salt, sifted confectioners' sugar, half-and-half, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and spreadable.
