I want to put a box in everyclassroom so my school can start recycling. Since it is going to be a lot of paper, is there some kind of recycling service that can pick up the paper from my school?

  1. most the time they do that. You have to make sure that no one puts other things in it because they are lazy. My school does but most of the stuff doesn't get recycled because there is trash in it. good luck

  2. there are several answers most depend on where you live...

I would reccommend finding out about local businesses and what they do with office paper and talking to city references such as local recycle companies etc...

For schools you could also look into doing a fundraiser with it.

    See Listed Sites

    Hope this helps

  3. go to your local City Hall and ask for information about local recycling companies.

  4. the regular recycling company can pick it up. :)

  5. Abitibi (www.paperretriever.com) is used widely in schools throughout the area as a fundraiser...as previously mentioned. I'm not sure that they provide bins for classrooms, but an old computer paper box with a sign for paper recycling always works too! And it's cheaper than buying a bunch of new bins.

Normally they place a dumpster somewhere on the school grounds and some schools even advertise that they have the dumpster for residents in the community to bring their paper there. Not only is it an avenue for paper recycling, but it helps their local school earn money. I'm pretty sure they have a set price they pay out per ton of material collected.
