yes,

in animal cells, the number of organelles varies from cell to cell..

Reason: the specific functions of the cells..

example: muscle cells contain more number of mitochondria.

simply because the muscles need more energy, which they take from those mitochondria..

(muscles need more energy because they have to contract and relax in order to perform the activities of the body, moving limbs and all)..
