I want to publish some poetry, but want to be able to someday publish them. However, in the meantime, want them to be released into the general public without restrictions. Can I do this?

  1. .   If the poems are written by you, they are your personal property and can not be reused without your permission.  You don't need to copyright everything you write to protect it.  I think there is not a "revocable" license needed and i don't think that one exists.

  2. The term is copyRIGHT.  That is right as in you have the right to control the distribution of the poetry.  What you propose may be LEGALLY possible, but it is PRACTICALLY impossible.
