Is there a router that make my dsl go faster?

lik my dl speed is 40kb/s so can i buy a router tat makes it go faster, to improve the speed

no router would make it faster, but DSL should never be down to 40kb.  

you most likely have poor signal.  Recheck to make sure all of your phones have dsl filters on them, and if you have a satellite system, make sure it is filtered as well.

Also make sure you phone cord to your modem isn't going thru a filter, and it is less than 10ft long.

If all of this checks out, find out what speed you are paying for, and complain to to your ISP

Routers do not have anything to do with the speed of your connection.  So the short answer is no.

You should check with your provider and see what speeds you are paying for vs what you are getting.  Keep in mind that 1.5mb download speed is not 1.5 megabytes its 1.5 megabits which is a power of 10 different.

no, router just sends that you get from the network but if you subscribe for higher internet and get a router you will get higher connection for eg I am using 15mbps broadband but I get around 5 mbps from the router.
