Is there a rugby union in Turkey?

Well actually there are university teams that play rugby :) In Hacettepe University and Ankara University (CATS I think is their name or Ankara CATS) There may be others out there, but these are all that I know of. Not sure how you may contact with them whatsoever :) Hope this helps, contact me if you need any translation about it.

EDIT: Sorry my mistake, they are both American Football Teams. No Rugby.

I read on a discussion board on the FIRA website that the Turkish Rugby Union (or whatever they may call themselves) have applied for FIRA membership.  Not a lot of info out there though.

Cannot find an answer.  Suggest you contact the IRB at

Twickenham, or surf the net looking at all international matches played, I just did so but could find nothing relating to Turkey
