Is there a rule in the UK on how frequently parking tickets can be issued to the same car?

I got 2 tickets 20 mins apart - I have no problem paying the 1st, but would like to appeal the 2nd. Whats the law on how often Parking Wardens can issue tickets to the same car - I assume they cannot stand next to a car constantly issuing tickets until the driver returns?!?

  1. Maybe it was issued by a different Warden - normally only one ticket per violation - was it for the same thing..I would say call the number on the ticket or go down to the Office and explain the situation offer to pay the first ticket and appeal the second and they probably will do it..if you were parked in a timed parking limit they can keep writing the ticket every time the limit is up such as if you were in a 20 min parking..and stood there all day they can write you a ticket every 20 min for being parked there

  2. I dont know the law over there but here the same police officer can give you ticket after ticket if you are doing something wrong and it could be 5 minutes apart from each other or until you follow the laws....

  3. Depends on where you park if it says10min parking zone then expect a ticket every 10mins if its a 5min zone expect one every five minutes and so forth.
