Is there a rule on where you can stay when visiting Denmark?

My girlfriend is going to school for a semester in Denmark. I plan to visit her for about a week or two. When I fly into Copenhagen will I have to declare where I am staying when I visit her? Am I allowed to stay with someone who is already in the country, at a University residence? Are there any rules about that, that you can't stay for free or anything?

Just hoping someone can tell me what to expect when I fly into the country. I have a US passport so I know I won't need a visa. Thanks.

  1. No, it's a great place to visit. I spent a week in Copenhagen one of the more fun/pleasant places in Europe.

  2. You can stay with her.  The official rules about entry and stay requirements for USA passport holders visiting Denmark here: http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_we...
