Is there a safe way to contact spirits or the dead?

Question

I want to try to talk to the dead again and i heard the other way i did it was dangerous, i don't know what its called but what i tried was i guess automatic writing and that was kind of freaky when i actually had no control of my hand. I don't have an Ouija board and i heard if i get a memento of someone who died and put it in an empty room. I could ask them a question and they are suppose to write on the paper that you lay out for them. But i don't know if that works. suggestions?

I'm sorry, but there is no evidence or reason to suggest the dead are able to communicate with the living.  The fact that some people who pretend this is possible would say that there are dangerous ways to do it is a fine example of superstition stacked on superstition.

There is absolutely no safe way to contact spirits or the dead. First of all when people die they cannot come back from the dead. But what happens is that a demonic spirit sometimes pretend to be a dead person in order to trick and deceive people into thinking they are harmless and in order to trick them into going into the occult. Demons are very very very dangerous creatures so don't even think about messing with them. Trying to contact spirits as well is very dangerous because the only thing you will get is a demonic spirit.

my god, your not really trying to mess with this are you? my opinion is that you shouldn't be playing around like that. you don't know what you could be getting into. and whatever you do don't get a Ouija board. it's been well documented that people who dabble with Ouija boards, who don't know what their getting into, are more likely to end up summoning a malicious spirit or a demon without meaning to. i suggest you get in touch with a sensitive to help you.

i personally do not think you can connect to the dead or spirits.They are gone now.Those things that they on t.v. like a haunting..the things they connect with are called demons..not ghosts.Demons are what people call ghosts.Once you die,you go to heaven or h**l.Its all over and done with.No coming back.Thats what i believe.I wouldnt want to connect with the dead anyways..thats to scary!

This is the problem; if the spirit you want to talk to is in heaven, it cannot talk to you because of the gulf.  Therefore, if you actually talk to something it will be a demon, and it will only want to kill, steal, and destroy.  Why not talk to the living instead?

Psychic phenomena and Mediums who speak to the dead hav a few different veiwpoints on what/how to contact the dead.

Really, the only way you can make contact, is if the dead want to be contacted in the first place. If you're able to mentally tune into someone or something on the other side then its up to that entity to speak to you.

In sorts of open forum type of communication (oujia boards and free writing)  anything can come who wants to speak, so its relativly unreliable in contacting a spesific entity. Note that many psychics/mediums contact a very wide range of entities within a reading, ones who are hoaxs seem to always talk to One spirit, and its the exact spirit that the costumer wants to talk to...

The safe way, is the patient way, learning to use intuition and clear your mind. In reality though...there is no real "safe" way...there will always be a bit of yourself at risk in doing this type of thing. You may want to look into ESP, and Clarvoiant tests (most of the online one's suck, look for books) to see if you have the predisposition for this kinda of thing first.

I've used automatic writing with great results but my favorite & most successful way is thru meditation (self or guided). I've had great conversations with deceased relatives/acquaintances, & I get the visual, too!

Even tho I don't necessarily believe in harmful spirits or 'demons', I don't think it hurts to say a prayer of protection & I *highly* recommend it. Explain that ONLY those of the light, with the best intentions & honest love for you & yours are permitted to come thru.

Having said that, I still do NOT recommend the Ouija board, tho. There are other, safer ways of making contact.

There's just something about it that gives me a bad vibe. I did have an experience w/it when I was young (too young & inexperienced to be messin with it actually!!) & what happened scared the he*l out of me. I threw the thing away.

Still, the easiest way is just thru thought. Think about them, remain open & 'listen'. That little voice you sometimes hear is not always your own (higher self) but others communicating with you. It's really just as simple as that!!

First of all, you do sound very young, and in my opinion, one that is under eighteen should not be playing around with this stuff. Having said that, the one thing you need to learn before you begin with any of the above exercises, is to learn how to ground and protect.  It is a meditation, if you will, where you ground yourself to the earth, and protect yourself from spirit, giving you complete control over how you want to receive them.

Now, spirits are quite anxious to get their messages across, so there is no need for momentos from people who died in empty rooms, as that has no bearing what soever. Just plain paper and pen will do, you need to relax and of course be grounded and protected. You must learn to release any residual negativity you may get, or  empathic feelings that may linger.... just go very very slow, no need to rush, as you might have a bad experience and be turned away from what may otherwise have been a very positive experience. May I suggest that you wait until you are older?

it is possible to communicate with dead people if you obtain the six sense also the laws of quantum mechanics allow you to communicate with dead people, because  when some one is a live, he is alive at a frequency  and when he is dead he is at another frequency  so when you communicate with the dead it wont be  a strong response because there are different frequency rates

PLEASE don't do it!

If a spirit really wants to contact you it will. Nonetheless, just by using a ouija board you have opened a "portal" so to speak to all entities, not just "friendly spirits." Demons love when you invite them into your home, and love to mess with you , lie to you, and try to convince you they are "good" when they actually are not. I learned this the hard way, by doing exactly what you did. I was curious. You wouldn't believe the weird things that have happened to me since then. There is NO safe way of contacting spirits. The choice of course is ultimately yours, i just reccomend you do your research.

There is so many ways, I do know the safest way is through prayers, sincere heartfelt prayers, especially when it's continue concern prayers of that loved one.

Another safe way is to hold in hand something that was personal item of that loved one and talk to them.

And another is to go to the grave site, either talk to them, or in prayer....I like to pray first, to be safe. That is if you believe in prayer. I just know it works for me.

So far I don't know how many people told not to touch a Ouija Board.  DON'T TOUCH THAT. It's very dangerous. The curiosity you have toward it comes straight from evil tempting you to do it. You'll be wanting to talk to a loved one, though you'll be talking to an evil one who pretend to be one of yours. And you won't be able to distinguish until you're in major troubles, and for ever. You can make your own Ouija board.  Write a bunch of letters on a piece of paper and you're done.  Of course, it won't actually work, but neither does an Ouija board.  Both Ouija and automatic writing work through the ideomotor effect - you're doing it yourself, even if you don't realize it.  This is easy proven.

No, none of it works.  There are no spirits hanging around to possess you and give you vague messages of the future or the letter 'M'.  But have fun.  It's not dangerous at all.  How could it be?  It's all in your head.
