Is there a safe way to download music from Limewire?

i think you can have your virus scan actually scan the file before u complete downloading the file and it would probably be in the Option section... and it would let you browse your virus scan.. which should be in .exe

I have been using limewire for 5 years and have had no problem

1) have a very good antivirus suite I have Zonealarm suite it always blocks a file if it has something wrong with iit

2) Never download a file under 2mb

So yes if you take adequate precautions it is OK

Instead of Limewire, try something else. The best and cheapest way to get music downloads is through MP3Lingo. com.  They offer unlimited music downloads for only a few bucks a month.  It's much cheaper than any other site I've came across and they are 100% legal.  They also have a lot of songs in every genre.  Check them out at www.mp3lingo. com when you get a chance

I have used limewire for a long time and while it's true you can get viruses from it you can usually tell by the file size of a song if it's ok. Songs in my opinion off limewire are usually ok, But avoid videos, pics and especially software.

Don't listen to those people who say don't use LimeWire, if you know what you're doing it's perfectly safe. Check this site for some helpful tips:

I have seen too many complaints just like yours, on this forum to trust this program.

Make sure the file size is correct, songs run about 1MB a minute so a 4 minute song for example should be about 4 minutes. If the files size is very small like 20KB it is not what you want and if it is very large like 20MB or above you probably don't want that either. If you want quality download music with a bit rate of at least 128 or 192 and no songs unless they are very long should average less then 10MB. The first search result to come up is often spam. Do not use it illegally though, it will be a dumb choice.
