Is there a sat nav system in Australia that offers free map updates?

I am faily sure Garmin is free if you have a Garmin unit.

Map updates are big business.  I think they all charge.

So far I've owned 3 GPS.  The actual GPS makes very little difference.  The MAP makes the difference between good sat nav and bad ones.

So I would NOT trust any cheap or free map database.
