I hear many people mentioning chemical reactions to certain smells, symmetric features and such. But is anything proven that makes people more attractive to others and manipulate people into believing they are "in love".? Any ideas, facts or opinions will help and I'll read all answers xD

Of course, whether science can explain it or not, it will not change my thoughts on love. Too beautiful to let go, ay?? ^.^

  1. No! XD! that's what makes it special! There is no explanation, it just happens! I mean attraction is semi scientfic. The scientific explanation for thinking osmeone is hot is that you want  the bets possible partner for reproduction, so we choose the ones who we think look best.

But love is far more than that, how can we put a scientific explanation on something we can't even describe in normal english?!

Love is amazing, love is unique! No animals have love the way we do, they don't choose a mate for love, they choose it for reproduction.

The amazing rush of love is indescribable. Why would you want to know anyway?! It's impossible to put an scitific explanation/equation on such a spectaularly indescribeble thing! XD!

  2. There is one hypothesis but no one has been able to prove it:  You fall in love when someone fits your "Love Map."  The allegation is that your love map is created at a very early age by a caregiver or nurturer of someone that figures prominently in your life and when you recognize a similar person in looks, personality or whatever is important to you about them, POOF!.  Lightning strikes!

The effect they, your love mappers, have is to release a neurochemical in the brain called phenylethylamine or PEA which is supposed to make you feel the intense feelings of love but the jury hasn't entirely come back on that point either although there is more evidence to support PEA than there is love maps.

  3. love is a state of mind
