Is there a sealer to use on painted walls if I forgot to use a primer and the paint is washing off?

  1. There are clear coats that you can put over the top of your painted walls.  

    What you really want to do is recoat the walls in the same paint that you already used. The first coat will act pretty much as a primer coat in terms of preventing the second coat from soaking in.

    You can upgrade the sheen level to a satin or eggshell sheen that will help prevent washing off as the paint will have more binder.


  2. If you used a flat paint, GARDZ by Zinsser will wick through it and bond with the drywall.
