Is there a seatbelt lock so kids cannot undo them?

Help. My 2 year old son knows how to unlock his seatbelt and get out while I am driving. Other than spanking his hand and giving a firm no and even explaining the dangers; it doesn't help. Does anyone know of a device I can purchase to keep his seatbelt locked? I tried Babies RUs and found nothing.

  1. Handcuffs.

  2. I dont know of anything - perserverance is going to be the key here.

What if you roll your car in a crash - do you want your child to be able to get out of your injured?

Pretty sure that is why there is nothing available - imagine the law suits!!!

    Cheers

  3. No cause in case of an emergency you wanna be able to get them out quick

  4. No that would be dangerous. If you were in an emergency it may take even a few moments longer to get him out and that could mean life or death. Don't really know what you can do other than punish him more and keep doing it until he learns. Good luck.

  5. This is so weird. None on yahoo shopping,  none on ebay (!), none when I do a yahoo search. It's like they don't exist and you'd think they'd be everywhere.

  6. Hello

I may be able to supply you with a lock, is it to lock him into his carseat or the booster chair?  As in do you need a lock to cover the car seat belt lock? The locks i have are for the booster seat belts in a car.

At 2 years he still needs to be in a 5 point harness.
