Is there a sequel to Z for Zachariah?

I LOVED the book Z for Zachariah! It was awesome and very interesting! But i still have a lot of questions..like if Mr. Loomis was right about going to the west to find others or if she even found someone else. Did she go back for him or tell others about him and they came for him?

It kind of left me hanging! Can anyone help me find the sequel?

  1. There can be no sequel, at least not from the same author.  It was published posthumously.

There is a wide range of post-apocalyptic SF, some moving, some interesting, and much of it sheerly dire.

    (Sturgeon's Law applies.)

There are even some upbeat fun stories in the genre!

    Don't neglect the classics:

    "The Chrysalids" by John Wyndham

"A Canticle for Leibowitz" by American Walter M. Miller, Jr.

Neville Shute's "On the Beach", (but don't expect a glimmer of hope, as with "Z.")

Greg Bear depicts the destruction of the world, and the seeking of revenge for it, in The Forge of God/Anvil of Stars.
