Is their a decent board shop in St. Ives? I'm going down later this year and I'm wanting to get a shortboard/fish.

  1. First of all as John F said, local shapers are always a good idea to use.  Second of all check out this link, I didn't read it very well but I think it talks about one of the shapers there, http://www.geocities.com/Pipeline/9093/r...

Alright, good luck on finding the shaper, if you don't find one, just use your favorite local shaper and see if they ever surfed there, if they did than they can help you better, or just research the waves and give the shapers a description =D

  2. I couldn't find anything in St. Ives but here are a couple links to shapers at other spots in Cornwall.  I'm sure they can help you out.

  3. I can't answer you about St. Ives, but I have to congratulate you for good judgment for seeking a custom board from a local shaper. I have nothing against the big manufacturers (at least not the ones that still hand shape real boards, not the pop-out mills), but a board made for you size and the local break(s) is always the best.
