  1. There are shooting stars every night.  All you need in order to see them are your eyes.  Pick a spot with low light pollution.  Peak shooting star counts will be after local midnight.

There are lots of meteor showers.  The difference is that you'll see more shooting stars at the peaks of these showers.  The next really big one is the Persieds, in the days around August 12.

  2. shooting stars occur almost every night, nobody can predict one shooting star.  They are created when sand-sized to boulder sized particles hit the atmosphere.  We can't track those yet

  3. Tonight, and every night, yes. Usually about one per minute.

  4. Shooting stars appears random every night  but moonless nights are good for observation

If you want to see a meteor shower, then wait till 12th Aug when Persieds  will take place. Also in november 17th,Leonids.

  5. sure
